What are the perks of purchasing diamonds directly from a diamond dealer? I don't mind buying loose diamonds and getting the diamonds set in custom jewelry, despite the extra effort involved.

The place where you purchase your diamonds definitely has a large role in determining the value of your purchase. While some may say that it's a waste of money to buy diamonds from a diamond dealer, I hold the opposite opinion. Buying from a reputable diamond dealer can actually raise the diamond's worth. First of all, when you buy a diamond from a diamond dealer, you know for certain that the diamond has not been stolen and that it is not a conflict diamond. If by any chance you find out that something is wrong with the diamond, you have someone to go back to and take action against if necessary, someone that you can hold as the responsible party. Payment plans and warranties are available through diamond dealers. You also have the chance to take a close look at the diamond and evaluate it in a proper setting and you can even compare it to other diamonds. In addition, when buying from a reputable diamond dealer, it is a good opportunity to acquire as much knowledge as possible from the seller and make good use of his / her help in choosing the diamond. Furthermore, the diamond jewelry sold through reputable dealers is new. Selling diamonds is a broad and competitive business where diamond dealers will undoubtedly do what they can to bring in customers. Nonetheless, generally speaking, the more benefits a diamond dealer offers, the greater the cost of the diamond.
