I'm a big fan of both classic jewelry and vintage jewelry so I'm finding it really hard to choose which direction to take when it comes to bridesmaid jewelry. What's important to take into account when selecting bridesmaid jewelry anyway?

Although both classic jewelry and vintage jewelry are excellent bridesmaid jewelry options, classic jewelry is usually the safest route to take because it looks lovely without stealing the show. Some classic style earrings for bridesmaids are stud earrings in silver, gold, or crystal (diamond stud earrings are classic too, but they're often more expensive than the other options). Drop earrings and dangle earrings also offer a classic, yet chic look, but with this style you need to be careful not to choose earrings that are too long. Remember, they still need to look beautiful on all your bridesmaids (even the ones that don't have the prettiest ears!). Pearl stud earrings are also a great choice, especially if you decide to get pearl necklaces to match. Pearl necklaces come in many different lengths so make sure to take the bridesmaids dresses into account. For instance, if their gowns are strapless it would be best to keep the pearl necklaces rather short, instead of long knotted strands. Bracelets are also a wonderful piece of jewelry to pull the bridesmaids' look together. Charm bracelets are a particularly interesting choice because they leave so much room for self-expression. You could choose a different charm for each bridesmaid and leave the rest up to her, or add an additional charm each time one of you gets hitched, etc. Just keep in mind that bracelets look best with dresses that don't have long sleeves. Vintage jewelry is becoming increasingly popular as vintage wedding dresses have come back in style. Brooches are the ultimate piece of vintage jewelry for bridesmaids, as long as they're not wearing necklaces. However, if you want your bridesmaids to wear necklaces, then chokers with rose pendants or layered crystal pieces would be the way to go. Milk glass and art deco jewelry are also totally in line with vintage style bridesmaid jewelry. In addition, if you're into gemstone jewelry, then the vintage look can best be achieved with pear cut gemstone jewelry. Generally speaking, bridesmaid jewelry should go with your bridal jewelry, which should match your wedding dress, so the easiest way to choose whether to opt for classic or vintage bridesmaid jewelry is to take note of the style of your wedding dress. If your wedding dress is classic, go for classic bridal and bridesmaid jewelry, and if it's vintage, opt for vintage jewelry for you and your entourage. Of course, you are the one who has to shine brightest of all, but the style of jewelry among you and your bridesmaids should be cohesive.
