Can you wear colorful jewelry on your wedding?

I really like colors. In fact, I almost never wear white or black. My mom said she would rather die than see me walk down the isle in a colored wedding dress...so I thought maybe I'd wear colored jewelry with the white dress. Is it a total fashion faux pas to wear colorful jewelry on my wedding?

The most important thing on your wedding day is to be you, so it would be a real shame to try to become someone else on the one day that is supposed to be all for you. Color is really fun! Recently there have even been some designers that have been introducing some colorful dresses, or some dresses with color splashes such as sashes or embroidery. Have fun!

Colorful wedding jewelry is definitely in! Colorful jewelry could add a little flare to traditional white or cream wedding dress. If you're concerned about tradition, and you're going for the classical look rather than the edgy, fashion forward bridal look, but still want to add a splash of color to your attire then you could go with colorful pearl jewelry. Pearl jewelry is definitely considered classical wedding jewelry and since pearls come in a wealth of colors you'll have your pick of beautiful, colorful, stunning bridal jewelry.

There is no such thing as a fashion faux pas on your wedding day since it is your wedding so whatever you want it to be like is AOK. I've seen plenty of alternative looking dresses, weddings, event spaces, and accessories. There is always room for a splash of color. If you are worried about going overboard, or about giving your mother a heart attack, I'd recommend adding color to your look with an angelic floral wreath and jewelry that matches. If you and your mother have come to some sort of agreement about the dress and accessories and you really want to make a splash with super bright, colorful eye catching pieces, then do it. Now is definitely the best time to talk your parents into buying you amazing couture pieces that they might not splurge on otherwise.

Heck no! Absolutely not a faux pas. I think the more color the better. You need something to break that white. A beautiful emerald, ruby, or sapphire pendant, or amethyst earrings? yes, colorful wedding jewelry is a great choice in my opinion. And I'm with you. I love color. And the most important thing on your wedding day is to be yourself. It's your day. If you like color, I say of course you have to go with colorful wedding jewelry. no question about it.

I'm all for colorful jewelry in general, and colorful wedding jewelry is no exception. I don't know what color your eyes are, but I think if you wear no jewelry but a pendant with a gemstone or a crystal that brings out your eyes, (sapphire, emerald, brown or golden tourmaline, etc) you will stun your guests. maybe a matching pair of dangle earrings can compliment the look even further. And again, I agree with what's been said above. It's your wedding day, so you can wear whatever you like and it'll be fine and beautiful. Congratulations! Enjoy it!
