What kind of jewelry should a 'mother of the bride' wear on her daughter's wedding day?

My beautiful daughter is getting married! I'm so excited, and going a little crazy with pre-wedding arrangements. It took me months to find an outfit, and that I finally have, the time has come to start stressing over wedding jewelry? So many things to consider I never imagined! So what are the trends? What's accepted? Any help very much appreciated.

It depends what your outfit looks like. But at any rate I would say - elegant but not too flashy so your daughter is still the center of attention.

Hmm....a tough question. On one hand, this is a really important day and you are mother-of-the-bride so you want to look your best and be stunning, and this is the day to adorn yourself with the best that wedding jewelry has to offer. But then on the other hand you don't want to be too flashy so as not to outshine your daughter. I would say maybe one gorgeous diamond pendant and a pair of pretty earrings. Don't go overboard. And don't stress about it. It will be lovely no matter what, I'm sure. The important thing is that your daughter found a man she loves. All of this jewelry talk is fun, but remember, it really doesn't matter what dress you wear or how many diamonds your bracelet features. It will be beautiful and memorable no matter what. Congratulations and remember to relax and have fun with it.

Ooh, I'm having that very same dilemma! (or almost). My son is getting married in 4 months! I haven't even picked the outfit yet. But I think I will go with an elegant yet not loud look for both attire and wedding jewelry. Congratulations to you and your daughter!
