What do you think about not wearing any jewelry at all for your wedding?

I'm getting married in October and my mom started asking me about hair and jewelry (already!). The truth is I'm not really a jewelry person in general. I don't even have an engagement ring, my fiance knows I don't like jewelry and he proposed with a plane ticket to a romantic week in Hawaii. I will probably wear my wedding ring, but that's about it. So I don't know what to do about jewelry on my wedding day. Is it acceptable to go without any?

Well, I mean I understand where you're coming from but it sounds like wearing gowns probably isn't your thing either, but you're not going to get married in sweat pants and a T-shirt. I agree that brides shouldn't be too flashy, but I think they should wear a little jewelry. maybe a pearl necklace or a pair of little studs.

Well, it's your wedding day, so of course it is. You need to feel comfortable. And actually I have to say, I often think when it comes to a bride's wedding jewelry, less is more. I happen to like brides that aren't too adorned with jewelry. I think it accentuates their natural beauty, and the beauty of the dress. I don't think one should wear too much flashy bling bling for her wedding. It's tacky and takes away from how naturally stunning a bride is. I think it's absolutely fine to go without any jewelry, especially if jewelry isn't your thing in any case.
