Are diamond headbands considered 'in' for bridal jewelry?

My wedding is fast approaching and I'm thinking about jewelry accessories. I'm thinking about something along the lines of a diamond embedded headband. Are diamond headbands in? Do they look cool? Can diamond headbands be used as bridal jewelry?

They are so cute! Especially if you don't want the old-fashioned drama of a tiara, but you still want something super girly and sweet in your hair (and something that can hold your veil, if you want. Or if you don't want a veil, but you want something ornate on your head. I love crawly, frondy kinds of headbands with diamond or crystal accents...but also colored gems, or something more classic with simple metal, or even crazier ones of your own design. If your dress has some accent on it, like flowers or stars in gem or lace or fabric, you could get a headband with the same kind of 3-D accents on them. Get creative, but don't worry if it is IN or not. It actually is very fashionable, these days, but besides that if it looks good with your dress and matches your sense of style, it's totally worth it!

Diamond headbands are definitely in. In fact, major Hollywood celebrities have been photographed sporting amazing diamond headbands on the red carpet and at various other glamorous events and functions. At the 2005 Academy Awards, actress Natalie Portman was seen wearing a beautiful diamond encrusted Art Deco vine patterned headband which turned heads. Other celebrities and fashionistas, such as Paris Hilton and Leighton Meester often dress up their apparel by adding a sparkling diamond hair pin or a gorgeous diamond headband. These glittering diamond hair accessories would be perfect as bridal jewelry. Wearing a diamond headband will make any bride feel like a princess. Diamond headbands can be made into any shape, style and design. Thus, they can be worn with virtually any hairstyle, from an elegant ponytail to an upswept romantic do.For a really stunning effect, consider pairing a diamond headband with elegant diamond stud earrings or a beautiful diamond tennis bracelet.

I think you can definitely do the diamond headband for your wedding- it's just important that you pick the right style headband for your hairstyle and that you make sure its comfortable. The problem with headbands is that it can pinch at your skull behind your ears. You don't want to be stuck during your wedding party with a diamond headband that you are dying to take off but don't know where to put it. Remember, a diamond headband is a rather expensive investment that you must be careful with. If are seriously considering a diamond headband, make sure you try on whatever type of headband base your diamond headband will have before deciding on it 100%. Also, bring a headband to your hairstylist so that she can work with it and give you ideas of hairstyles that fit with the headband, your veil, and your actual hair/haircut.
